This is another way of saying you don’t know right now. You just met the girl. You’re having sex. You love her unique smile – unique from every other smile you’ve ever been given. She gets you to do things you never thought about doing before. She gets you to laugh. She gets you to daydream about what life would be like with her, and you hate the thought of life without her.
I get it. We’ve all been there. Done that.
And then it doesn’t work out.
That’s okay. Most things don’t work out.
But we’re not in tomorrow.
Always ask yourself: What am I going to do today. Today is the only day that matters.
So ask this today and be honest:
Do you want the same thing out of a relationship (presumably, if you love her, you want a long-term committed relationship)
Do you both have similar values about friendships, places you want to live, luxuries you want to have (or not)
Do you like the way she treats you and is sensitive to what you want?
Ask these questions every day. If the answer comes up “no” then talk about it with her why. Being with someone forever (getting married) means you want to spend 50 years with a person. That’s never happened before in history but its happening now because of longer life spans.
So you need to ask those questions every day. And for that day, and that day only, you know.
