Is there a moral obligation to pay back college loans, if one was sold a bill of goods about its value, then couldn’t get a job?

ANSWER:

The idea of a student loan is supposedly so you can get a job that will more than pay back the student loans. At least this is what all of the “studies” supposedly show. The studies are all flawed. Let’s look at the reality. There’s a trillion dollars in student loans out there. The US governmnet backs each of these loans. They want to scam you with threats so you pay them back.

The moral obligation is to pay back when the promise comes true. When you have the job they promised in their implicit contract with you then you can pay back and fulfill your moral obligation.
